Smithsonian Research Bibliography (SRB) designated liaisons are asked to:
  • Determine the departments, divisions or units under which submissions will be classified and any acronyms used. (For example, NASM Center for Earth and Planetary Studies, NMNH Smithsonian Marine Station. CEPS or NH-SMS).
  • Regularly remind staff authors of the bibliography and the need for them to submit. Include website address and email/contact information of the SRB coordinator. A quarterly departmental report will be sent to liaisons who should forward it to the unit director and/or unit staff for review and to serve as a reminder to contribute.
  • Report to the SRB coordinator any items that have been reported by authors as duplicative or otherwise in error. Also report to the SRB coordinator any items that have been identified as non-scholarly or outside the scope of the bibliography.
  • Answer (or refer) questions by the SRB coordinator regarding items submitted by the liaison's unit.
